Music Composer
The function and controls the music composer and its fields will be explained in the following sections.
You can find the Music Composer window under "Window > RetroKit > Music Composer".
Song properties

- The song selector.
- Create a new song.
- Delete the selected song.
- The name of selected song.
- The number of notes in a single bar of the selected song.
- The beats per minute (speed) of the selected song.
- The master volume of the selected song.
- Play the selected song.
- Export the selected song to a .wav file.
Pattern properties

- The pattern selector.
- Create a new pattern for the selected song.
- Delete the selected pattern.
- Duplicates the selected pattern.
- The name of the selected pattern.
- The number of bars the pattern consists of.
- The color that's used to represent the selected pattern in the track and pattern composers.
- The volume level for the selected pattern.
- The sample provider (instrument) used for the selected pattern.
- Visual representation of the sample provider (if available).
- Play the pattern in a loop. (Click again to stop playing.)
Pattern composer

- The pitch for this row. (Click on it for a preview.)
- Empty note slot.
- A note in the selected pattern.
- Current selection (cursor).

Tracks

- The track name.
- The track's volume level.
- Play the track.
- Pattern placed on the track.
- Empty space where patterns can be placed.
- Delete track.
- Create a new track for the selected song.
Controls

If a pattern isn't being added it's likely because it would overlap with another placed pattern.
